We are excited for school to start back. This will be our third school year at AT4L and we are still in love with the school! Our children are excelling and love attending the school! No this school is not going to satisfy everyone, no school will ever do this! But you can not make your decision based on others. My son actually attends the school on the Special Needs Scholarship and the modifications that they make for him personally are perfect! They are definitely worth checking out! And yes they are looking for a place to expand to that the building is bigger. However, most classes only have 12 students or less!

The intent of the school is good but they do not deliver and bring the kids up to even their public school grade level. It seems like a school for special needs kids. Not the influence I thought would be good for my kids.

My student loves his classes and teachers. He has been at AT4L for two and a half years. He is two grade levels above where he would be in public school. The ABEKA curriculum is wonderful. His teachers are very caring and experienced. There has not been any turn overs in his teachers at all. I love the online grading system where I can check his grades daily and the homework that is posted on the website daily. I feel we are always very informed as parents. The over night field trip to the Atlanta Zoo was also a great treat for him.
As a very involved parent with a child who attends this school, I absolutely have to commend them!! If you think the teachers are not well fitted for the job, maybe you should try talking to them. Each teacher in the school plays a part in the education process of each student. No, every teacher is not trained with a master's degree...some of the ones I have spoken to are more equipped with experience...this to me makes them more well-rounded & open to trying different ways to teach children. This is the only school in this area who will ability group and teach children off all different needs. Not all children will learn best in a non-traditional private school, but alot of children need this type of school...so don't knock it because it did not work for your child, just find what does...and be sure your child is doing their part.
