CCCS is a terrific school with wonderful parents and students. There is nothing else like it around here. Our children have been given a wonderful education that has taught them both academic and life skills. I think that there are a lot of school out there that could learn a lot from us. Parents being so involved is a plus because it allows teachers to teach and parents to make sure that all the other stuff is taken care of! We try to make sure that we offer all the arts and great opportunity for all students.
Our children have attended this school for many years. Each year more innovative programs are added, such as music, bringing live animals to campus, lap tops, hands on science instruction, drama class, alternative energy electives.... There is no lack of programs at this public school, especially important when other public schools are financially struggling to keep their extracurricular programs.
The amount of attention each and every child is given is top shelf. Parents are very envolved and you can tell the children there really love that. Its test scores are always in the high 90th percentile in the state. Its growth over the last ten years has been constant without the governing board overreaching or over extending itself. The feeling of joy around the campus is palpable....Great Schoo!
This school is motivated to serve all children, innovative with its required parental participation and has an established record of high test scores. With parental involvement, success is inevitable. The school is part of school district yet as a charter is allowed more flexibility and sensibility in how it chooses to spend its precious resources. The school has smaller class sizes and operates almost as a large extended family (with some issues as all families have). There is a waiting list to be admitted. Staff is exceptional. Highly recommended.
