Since my last posting on November 2, 2007, my experience has improved dramatically. After a few meetings I feel that my concerns have been heard and are being addressed. I was surprised to see how immediate some of the issues have been dealt with which was so pleasing. My children come home happy and excited to tell me about their day. Chapel days have been especially uplifting for them and I can see a difference in a positive sense in the area of prayer and knowledge of the Lord and scripture. I can see them developing and learning how to apply what they learn to their little lives. I must admit I was a bit hasty when doing my last posting/review and I hope that this posting weighs more in your search for a great Godly school for your kids.

Our experience greatly differs from the last posting. These teachers truly care about our kids and are all very competent--even the newer teachers. The Lord has created each child in a unique way with strengths and weaknesses. CSY deals well with both giftedness and learning challenges. We have found the curriculum to be well researched, intentional and challenging. Our older children have gotten excellent scores on SATs and have been accepted into all of the colleges where they applied. CSY is over 50 years old. There have been some changes in the headmaster in the last decade. Our current headmaster is a strong leader and has renewed the energy in the school. We are blessed to have such a school in York County. The combination of high academics with the foundation of an accurate Christian world-view makes CSY well worth the sacrifice for the financial investment.

I have been the parent of a CSY student since Kindergarten. He loves it and when given the opportunity to attend public school or be homeschooled he rejected both. The academics are 2nd to none, SAT scores are consistently higher than most other schools in the area, and the number of seniors attending college after graduation nears 100%. The sports programs though not emphasized are not 2nd rate either. The teachers and administration now only know the students by first name but most if not all of the parents too. CSY offers all the pluses of public education with none of the draw backs. We would not trade our CSY experience for anything.
