Based on our experience, St. Joseph's is the best school for K-8th grade in Pekin, IL. The academic curriculum is more challenging than what is currently being offered in the public schools and their are more opportunities for children to explore extracurricular activities and the arts while in school. We have found the administration and teachers to be both incredible professionally, but also loving and welcoming to our children/family. We truly feel a part of a community here and our children LOVE going to school.
St. Joseph School is the type of place you walk into and know that there are great goings on! The teachers are teaching with incredible credentials and from the heart. The community is overwhelmingly warm. I cannot say engouh.
St. Joe Grade School is a very nice, wholesome environment for children. My two daughters attended from kindergarten through fifth grade, and loved the experience. They were challenged with work that was ahead of their grade level at times, but this has made them very good students. In fourth grade, my daughter had a complicated science project to complete, and this is not something I recall doing until I was in middle school. I can't say enough good things about this school.
