With two children who've graduated from VCS and now attend High School, they have continued to excel in their grades and maturity only because of the excellent moral and educational foundation from K-8 at VCS.

VCS: Adaptive and effective -This is the tenth year for my family at VCS. The two oldest are alumni with different aptitudes and are now attending state colleges; the 13-year old is a straight A student and performs well beyond grade level (post-secondary in some instances). I credit the success to the partnership between our family and the school. We have seen the results and thank God we removed them from their former schools (public)!

I have 3 children currently enrolled in Venice Christian School. We have had a wonderful experience at the school. Two of my children entered the school in their 5th grade from a good public school. I have 4 children. Of my 4 children 3 like school & they all attend VCS. Out of the 3 children that attend VCS 2 missed days of public school often because they seemed to be physically & emotionally sick. Once enrolled at VCS they are seldom absent. In fact, all 3 of my VCS children don't like to miss school. They have been able to perform far beyond what they could in their years in public school. The VCS teachers offer support during and after school hours. 2 VCS teachers travelled to the public school to meet with my son's previous teachers in public school. My children have been positively impacted Spiritually, emotionally & academically.

In my opinion, the school is unprepared to meet student educational needs. Would benefit from more teacher education and support. It seens worth their while to nurture tutoring opportunities on-site. Teachers and leadership appear lax in consistently applying rules/regs or discipline policies. I have received poor to no follow up when concerns have been voiced. Teachers have not been available to assist students outside of class time. Multiple meetings with agreements made have caused no change in approach. Parent involvement is very high. Parents make things happen for the kids. Some teachers are very good but lack supplies/support to excel. Rigid where concept should be focus. Could benefit from 'going back to the drawing board'. Beautiful facility....unbelievable potential that is not harnessed.
