My daughter attended Bridges for 2 years, and my son has now attended for 2.5 yrs. Kids are actually taught, not just a daycare. On-site owners very involved, warm staff and wonderful teachers, no yelling or verbal abuse (which we have unfortunately witnessed in the charter elementary system). My son can easily count to 40, K. requires to 5. He knows all his letters, letter sounds, and loves to look at books on his own free time. Been writing his name since he was 3. Plenty of play time outside, they get to picnic outside for meals if weather allows, in shaded area. Lots of water play in warmer months. Songs, artwork, games for learning. My daughter has sensory processing disorder, and she had no trouble there or now at elementary school. Lots of sensory stations. Both kids very curious about everything and love learning. We will miss Bridges next yr!
My two year old son and two year old nephew just started at Bridges two weeks ago and they are, as their teacher put it, 'Partners in crime'. So far, teachers have been very good handling these two very rambunctious little boys. I've seen lots of firm, loving discipline, lots of reinforcement, and lots of great feedback and info on how their days go from the teacher. So far, there has been tons of parent-teacher communication, which I think is so important. I will be starting my volunteer work there next week, so I'll come back and review again once I see 'behind the scenes'.
My daughter has attended Bridges for two years and they are wonderful! Excellent staff and programs.
