Olive M. Adams Elementary School

My son has been here @ Adams for 4 yrs now. Each teacher is different in the way they teach like in any other school. Some may need to go but there are many there that i wish they will stay. The leadership of a school plays a part in how every school will run. Jobs of teaching and councling is a job you have to love in your heart. So with that said , Now they have a brand new princple a new name for Adams. I'm going to give them my son's last year w/ them to show all others that we believe in giving second chance and as long as they do not give up on my son i will not give up on Adams! i would like to give up a special Thank you to Mrs. Hamby you are best!

This site has not been updated since the new principal has arrived. I fell the saftey of my children is very poor. The principal always says she will handle the problems, she pats the kids on the back, and say take a deep breath.My child is scared all the time. As for the teachers, they all try, I am sure it is hard to follow thruw with disipline when they know it will not go any further than the office.

Adams Elementary was changed to Adams Academy of Math, Science and Technology a few years ago and I beleive that the emphasis placed on Math and Science has really added to the school. Two of my children attend Adams and we feel that it is a great school. It is in a very safe area of Ypsilanti and the teachers go above and beyond the call of duty when teaching their students. Personally, I was hestitate to join the Ypsilanti Pblic School District when we moved to the area, but I am really glad that we made the choice to place our children at Adams.

This school is the best in the district, my children just love it at Adams.
