As an alumni and now a proud parent of a Menlo student, I would never dream of sending my child anywhere else. Great atmosphere and you have the feeling that everyone really cares. If there is ever a problem to teachers and principal meet with you and solve it.
I have never entered a more nurturing environment. I am so proud to be a part of the Menlo community and that my children can be a part of this great school. The teachers take the time to work with students in small group settings and get them where they need to be. There are no perfect schools, but there are some that strive toward perfection. Menlo School is one of those.
This is my fave school! I have been going since 3rd grade, and I am in 6th now! This is the best school ever and I hope to go for many years to come, and eventually teach there when I am older.
I feel that Menlo Elementary has been in a steady decline for a while now. Lately, the teachers and principal seem to be telling me what they think I want to here rather than really taking the time to evaluate my children's progress honestly. The administation is always bragging about our outstanding CRCT scores - heck, they spend about 3 out of the 9 months working exclusively on CRCT practice tests! Why do they never mention that Lyerly's average scores were higher than Menlo's last year? That never used to happen! My children will attend another school this year.
