Why do you love Alma Elementary School? I love Alma Elementary School because they are part of a program that encourages volunteers to come to the 4th and 5th grade classes to help the students with reading and math. It is a great program for the volunteers and the students. Both sides of this equation enjoy benefits. The volunteers feel like they are connected to their community and giving back. The students get extra time for reading and math assistance. This program is a partnership between the Mesa Public Schools, Mesa Community College and Hands on Greater Phoenix.

Our Family has been attending Alma for 9 years. All our kids have received excellent educations. The teachers are exceptional and have gone out of their way to prepare our kids for Junior High and beyond. We love the family activities like family math night, reading under the stars and 1st grade P.E. Night. The music program is outstanding. The principal is aware of the students and knows them all, she hosts desert with the principal once a month to reward kids for good behavior. We would love more parents to become involved! Go Alma Astros!!

Our experience has been great. I love the staff and my kids learned a lot. We love the Band and Choir programs. The PE teachers are amazing. I have a difficult child and the principal is very helpful in finding ways to help him to have a great experience at school. We really like participating in the district programs like battle of the books, the math competition, honor band, and ELP.

My preschooler just blossomed in Mrs. Kelly Noel's class. And his classmates ranged from normal to special needs, which I feel is esential in learning social skills. The teachers are patient and care verymuch for their students.
