My daughter just transferred from elementary school to middle school. It was a daunting transition, but the administration, faculty, and staff made it a very positive experience for her--she felt safe and excited by the next phase of learning ahead. After recently attending their curriculum night and meeting her teachers, I was so impressed by the amount of effort that they put into setting my child up for success; the use of technology to aid learning; and the devotion of the teachers to the students. My daughter is off to a great start this year--I can't thank this team enough. Spencerport Schools and Cosgrove in particular are fantastic and deserve to win!
Cosgrove is a very special place. The students and staff are very caring people. They strive each and everyday to leave the world better than they found it. The staff is dedicated to provide a rigorous curriculum that is differentiated to meet the needs of all students. Cosgrove is a very special place to be.
Some good teachers, good programs. But we left because of incidents with various students in my daughter's 8th grade. A lot of defiance from several students and things don't improve throughout the year- they get more bold.
The quality of academic programs is excellent, as is the level of parental involvement. Availability of sports, music and other extracurricular activities is also excellent. This school is excellent. Administration listens to parents and are proactive.
