I attended this school, and it was very fun. I loved the athletic programs and the fine arts programs. There were some members of the staff who I grew very close with, and some who I didn't care much for. That is the life of the high school student, though. Overall, I thought it was a good school for acedemics, if you sign up for the right classes. However, the counselors aren't as much counselors as they are schedule planners. I got minimal support with the 'prepare for college' scene. There wasn't much they cared to do for me. The teachers were much better.
If your child is into sports and you like the 'good old boys'attitude then this is the school for you. If your child is not into sports, and you want academics, go else where for challenges in academics. It seems that the less the teachers can do the happier they are here. Not impressed with the backbone of administration nor the depth of understanding and willingness to help get anything done from the counselor. Go else where for your education.
