We moved to Savannah over a year ago from the Washington DC metro area. I was concerned about the public school system in Georgia and definitely Chatham County which ranks fairly low. But after doing much research I found that 1) the rankings can be deceptive and 2) Marshpoint is a phenomenal school. I went to private schools growing up and Marshpoint blows every institution I ever attended out of the water. The staff is great. The teachers really care. They challenge the students to learn while maintaining the fun. The parent involvement is off the chart. I am continuously amazed at what this school is accomplishing. My daughter started kindergarten at Marshpoint this year and the other day she said to me, 'Mommy, I really like my school. It's a good school. I have fun. I'm glad we came to Savannah.' That says it all right there.

My family has traveled a lot. My son has attened schools in Alabama, South Carolina, Florida, and Marshpoint Elem. in Ga., out of all of them I have to say he and I both think Marshpoint was the best in ALL aspects. Everyone was so nice and helpful, the teachers and staff actually cared. The academics were challenging but yet not so hard it made the kids not like it. The extracirr. activities were great and parent involvement was very high. At the moment we are in Florida and the schools here are forcing so much academics at such higher levels that the students are having NO fun. In Alabama the academic levels were very low, and my son was doing such easy work it was boring him. We are going to be moving back to Savannah and WE can't wait to be back at Marshpoint!
