My child has attended the Rice School since kindergarten. This is the last year we will be at Rice and I am sad. This school is wonderful and so is their staff. They start students out with a second language and technology. Two things kids will need for a successful future.

My child recently completed both his elementary and middle school years with The Rice School (K-8). I found the academic and behavioral expectations very appropriate. It appears the students are very able to compete for the best high schools.

I am a parent of a student who is not returning to the Rice School. I agree totally with the first two reviews. They expressed what I wanted to say exactly but there is not enought room for what else I have to say about this school. My child is a gifted and talented student but they could not keep her interested, let children bully and tease her about her weight and the teachers and administrators are of the lowest. They help to lower her and other kids self esteem more than the teasing students. Their 0 tolerance is ridiculous. If you are called to the office 3 times you have a chance of not being able to return. The 5th grade assistant principle said even if a student is called to the office for investigation of an incident it will still count against them. Even though they weren't involved.

My daughter started off at this school in Kindergarten, now she is in the Second grade. The first two years was ok. Now that she is in the Second Grade I have had so many problems, the first thing is that she has been recognized as Gifted and Talented this program has done nothing. She's bored which leads up to talking, playing etc. There was an incident at her school where she was wrongly accused, I was very upset of the outcome and now I have taken this to a higher level. I feel that the Extended Day Program is over priced. Also, what they offer to these students is not educational enough for me. I am very disappointed with this school and she will not be back for the Third Grade.
