This is my 3rd year that my son has attended Highpoint and I believe that the curriculm is accelerated and my son has learned a lot from his teachers. They received the school of excellence award last year and the staff is always informing me of any changes that are needed to make my child perform better including discipline tactics. I would refer anyone to this school if they are looking for excellence from their child.
We as parents so often want to blame some one else, i found HighPoint to be a very good school and they do care about the children, teachers go beyound the basics they also try to teach your child respect for others,something that will also be needed in the REAL WORLD .
My husband and I were not happy with this school at all. Their main focus was discipline and not education and did not showing any caring or love towrds the children. I was very involved, coming or calling the techers and the direcor to address the needs of my daughter. I was ignored and basically told that she was 'hard headed and disrespectful' and just needed her butt wooped. They never listened to any of our suggestions to make it better and were very judgemental. They also do not have an adequate play are for the kids. Just a parking lot. I removed our daughter and enrolled her in another private school in Smyrna where she has not experienced any of the problems or issues that she did here. I would not recommend this school.
