I have two children at Heritage, one is in 9th grade and the other one is in 6th grade, they both have been attending HCS since 1st grade, I do believe that compare to other environments around our hometown this is one of the best, I understand no one is perfect and not always the students will agree with their teachers when it comes to setting up rules but we as parents do know what is right and what is wrong for our children. I don't think there is a lot of homework, my children do have other activities after school (soccer, piano lessons, ballet/dance) At Heritage the kids do learn to be organized and to have their priorities in order.
as far as the education, it discourages self- thought. they feed the student a certain opinion and tell them how they should feel about it. there is minimal student involvement in the classroom, just instruction and memorization.
So far I have found the school to be good for my son. This is the second year that he has gone here. I applaued the rules set in the school. I applaued the teachers. I applaued the comments from Feb. 19th. I love the small class size compared to a public school. THIS SCHOOL IS GREAT! Keep God in your heart and you will be happy and do the right things in life. To the student that keeps getting demerits, I will Pray for you and hope that you can see right from wrong. Very Happy Parent of a 1st grader.

The school is based on the fundamental values found in the Bible. The teachers are wonderful and the students learn a lot more at Heritage than at public schools. Most people who have difficulties following the 'rules' are those who do not really follow Biblical principles (ex. 'The rules don't apply to me!). For the 'Student' who posted on December 21st; it got hard for you once you actually had to start working harder in 5th grade. I'm sure you were just walking by and were just given a demerit for no reason! There's always a reason; maybe you should take a personal look at your behavior and then change it. I'm pretty sure the demerits will stop once you do!
