More information: What GreatSchools fails to mention is that Kendall serves children who are deaf, hard of hearing- thus the mention of 'special education'; students use hearing aids, cochlear implants or nothing. American Sign Language is used for instruction; individual and group services include speech, audiology, physical therapy, counseling, plus more that I may not be aware of. Transportation services is provided if pick-up/drop-off is within 15 miles (of the school or the Capitol Building, I'm not sure). Please visit the school if you are considering placement for your Deaf or Hard of Hearing child.
