We Love Seven Hills School in Nevada City! We have an Inter-District transfer and it is so totally worth it. My children have received an outstanding eduation at this school. The teachers are wonderful. P.E. is somewhat lacking. But academics are great. My children have totally thrived in this environment. Principal is great. I look forward to another great year.
The school has some excellant teachers and some poor teachers (my wife works in the school district and I hear the good and the bad). Punishment policies are somewhat draconian which works well for some kids but can make things worse for others. There are some unique extra curricular classes if your child happens to get in. As an electrical engineer, I'm unimpressed by the computer class my son took.
I think that this school is excellent. It is a great acedemic challenge for my children and they really enjoy it
Seven Hills is a school that offers a strong core program with creative and fun electives in a safe and supportive environment. Students are well prepared to be highly successful in both high school and college. Parents are highly involved and contribute to the school environment in many ways. It is a wonderful school and a great place to be part of.
