Cathedral Prep is an excellent school. My son loves the school. He was a B&C student in middle school. They have challenged him academically and been very supportive. He is recieving almost all A's in honors classes. There is a lot of school spirit, pride and a tremedous alumni support. My daughter attended McDowell H.S and there is no comparison. The tuition is worth every penny spent. It is one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life.

Catherdral Prep is one of the top high schools in Erie. Yes, you pay a bit in tuition but the education my son has received is priceless. I agree that close to 98% of the students go on to college, many qualifying for academic, service and sport scholarships which are all earned. The school reinforces the morals and values we try to teach our son at home. It is worth every penny and then some. Live a little simpler and make the sacrifice if you have to, your son will thank you later.

About two of the posts November 1 2008 and March 27 2008. Half of the students DO NOT play in the school sports programs. They are all boys so many do participate in sports...not sponsored by the school. Wow....what a tradgedy! The percentage of students who continue on to college directly after graduation is closer to 98% not 50 %. Most students who attend Prep are not from wealthy families but rather families who sacrifice to send their children to a private school...not because they're 'stuck up' because they make the decison based on religous values, residing school district, hope that it helps with their children's future to name a few.
