Small town, great patrons. Dedicated teachers & parents. Only negative is that not enought $ are available for sports, music, drama, clubs so the school and those groups are always with fundraisers, fundraisers.

We have had two children attend Lakeland Senior High School, our youngest will begin his high school career there in the fall of 2008. Our sons have had a positive learning, social and sports experience there. We have found the administration, counselors and staff to be first rate. In spite of the rigid state bench marks that teachers have to adhere to, they are still able to make classes interesting, challenging and rewarding for the students. All in all our family has been extremely pleased with all aspects of the school. All education departments are well run with fine teachers who care about their students. A special plus goes to the music department, which is excellent, and the sports program which is fantastic.

Lakeland High School is a great school with quality teachers, counselors, administrators, and office personel. It has a positive and friendly atmosphere where students and parents feel comfortable, safe. Teachers, counselors, the VP and principal are complelely approachable. Students academics are closely monitored, future plans for college or other post high school training information is readily available. The music and sports programs are exceptional. Off campus training at the local junior college is also an option for students. This is a good school with a good reputation.
