I know about Parkview as a two-way immersion school and am not as familiar with the school's traditional programs. The immersion program is wonderful. Parents are intensely involved. The results are amazing. In my experience there are very few children in the program who have no English to begin with, but many who have both. My one concern is that there is not more social mixing between the native speakers of the two languages. I'm not sure what the school could do to improve this, but I do notice it could be addressed.

Parkview Elementary is school where children easily get lost. I was not happy with the academic expectations that teachers had or the level of respect required in the classroom and on the playground. Verbal and physical bullying are allowed and go unchecked. Parkview does not provide a atmosphere that fosters growth, learning, and diversity.
