I have schooled three children at CRCS - experiencing all grades K5 through 8. What a wonderful school it is! I highly recommend it! One of our girls promoted from CRCS to a high school with an IB program; she did so well that she received top scholarships for the university of her choice! CRCS did a terrific job preparing her for that transition.
The homeschool days at Crossroads make it the most unique Christian School in the valley. With 2 days to work at home with my child, using curriculum provided by the teacher, I am completely aware and involved in her learning. Warm, loving staff and teachers and a small community environment makes it just right for us!
This unique school may be the best kept secret in the Phoenix area. With all the choices parents have for educating their children (public, private, charter, homeschooling), this specially constructed model offers parents a chance to involve themselves in the schooling process without the heavy responsibility of selecting curriculum, teaching difficult concepts and keeping pace with standardized testing. Students attend three days with their peers, in small classes taught by dedicated, passionate teachers. Two days a week they stay home and are supervised by a parent through a day of 'home based learning'; a complete subject by subject work day organized by the teacher to solidify concepts learned at school. These days at home also impacts family relationships in a positive way by providing extra time during the week to connect with each other in a learning environment. Our family has been truly blessed by our years at Crossroads Community School!
We love CrossRoads! This is a unique school is that it allows your child to go to school 3 days a week and be homeschooled 2 days a week (We call them Home Based Learning days). The teachers send home all of the curriculum/school work to do on the Home Based Learning days. It allows me to spend more time with my kids without the stress of homeschooling full time. It is the perfect combination of school and homeschool in one! The teachers are amazing too. They are truely dedicated to the children's education and to the school. I would hightly recommend this school to Christian parents looking to send their children to a school that not only teacher academics, but also instills Godly character.
