I am very pleased with the performance of this elementary school. I believe it is a well kept secret in orange county about the quality of this school . Many people brag about the nearby warwick school district but I think the quality education and school environment here is second to none. The teachers so far have been first rate and the principal, Mr Ronald Depace is phenomenal. He is a 'one of a kind' compassionate, dedicated, top quality principal who goes out of his way to create a friendly, learning yet disciplined atmosphere.
Words cannot adequately express how terrific this school is! From a very involved and caring principal to enthusiastic teachers with high academic standards ,this school really is special. The small size serves as an advantage because your child is not just a number. In fact, teachers who have never had your child often know them by name! The opportunities offered (i.e. post office, banking, safety patrol, Youth Ending Hunger, etc.)provide every child with a chance to be involved and develop self confidence. Parents are also highly involved as evident by a very active P.T.A. with significant membership.Each morning that I send my children off to school I know that they are not only receiving a top notch education but are also in a safe place where they are cared about.
Golden Hill Elementary is the crown jewel of elementary schools in Orange County. The quality of teachers is second to none. The teachers, principal and staff go above and beyond to provide an enriching and loving environment for all of the students. Academic excellence thrives here. The Principal, Mr. Ronal DePace is one in a million. His dedication is amazing. Golden Hill has a wonderful music program with talented music teachers. Art, sports and extracurricular programs are of the highest quality. This is a very caring, close community that loves it's 'little school on the hill'.
