What a wonderful school! This is our first year and we have received a very warm welcome. The teachers are friendly, kind and knowledgeable. My son is so happy!
My child has been at AFA for three years now and we give up. The lower division has been a revolving door; this year three teachers are gone. Why did they leave? The principal is not engaged with the kids, they just don't like her. There is no real parent group. Our experience at AFA has not been good.
I have experienced both the Lower and Middle Divisions and I am so happy that my children are in an environment of respect and accountability. Our society has lost this and it is harder and harder to find, but not at AFA. The class sizes are small and the teachers are not only caring but teach 'outside the box' to instill a love of learning. I don't know of another school where the kids have access to amenities like waterfront, touch tank, swimming pool, 16,000 volume library and full service dining hall all on 35 beautiful acres in sunny Florida. We love it!
My child started here a few years ago in Kindergarten and it has been a fantastic experience! The kindergarten teacher was experienced, knowledgeable, had graduated from Harvard, and was just wonderful! I cannot say enough for the dedication and the devotion of the teachers at this school. Each student is treated as an individual. Although our family is not one of the richest at this school we have never experienced a moment of doubt that this is the right place for us. It has been just what my child needed and we are so happy to be here. Parents whose children cannot live up to the demanding standards often sing out like sour grapes. I hope other families will appreciate all that this school has to offer.
