This school has consistently finished in the top 5 in the state of Illinois Math & Science competitions and has won the top spot. My children have gone on to the University of Illinois Champaign and Carthage College and excelled. I feel this school has prepared my children well both educationally and from a character stand point. The administration has always been fair and the teachers go out of their way to help students who ask for assistance. This school is located in a growing small town and has the support of generations of alumni. We could expand our music and fine arts program.

Not much here to see at this school. Sports teams are usually in last place the past few years; kids don't seem to want to play. Administration needs to step up and take charge. Pretty good science department. School curriculum is unorganized, segmented, and incomplete. Some teachers enforce school rules others let things go. Very tough place to work if you thrive in an organized environment.

This gives insight to the overall atmosphere and quality of education at this school. It's a mediocre school with mediocre teachers that don't embrace excellence. Philosophy of individuality isn't encouraged, at a time when teens develop stronger individual interests. I stayed four years using my strength of character & perserverance. Ending, I considered the ultimate sacrifice, teaching one last lesson;
