As in any school the instructors are uneven. There are some great teachers but incompetence is the norm. There is a wide range in the motivation and abilities of the students which is to be expected in a public school, but the administration has really chosen to strive for mediocracy. Great music program.
I went to rondout valley high and the staff were well educated and very good at their profession. The principals are currently quite inneficient and uninformed about their school but all in all the school is a good institution of learning.
I LOVE RONDOUT VALLEY MIDDLE SCHOOL!!!! Since i am soon becoming a new addition to the high school, i look forward to a great 4 years. Its a good school if you pay attention in class but if you dont its just going to make things worse for you. Although some kids and parents dislike this school but it's really not that bad. The staff and teachers are amazing in the middle school and i'm pretty sure the high school staff is too. ~Ashley
My daughter's life was in danger when she attended Rondout Valley High School because of a gang there after her and all I got from them was the run around. That school district definitely favors certain students while others get treated like they're nothing. I was lied to often by those working there and they were serious matters too.
