Johnston Middle School

I am very pleased with this school. The teachers are excellent and communication is exceptional. The principle, Mr. Wheat is everywhere on campus,this man is really involved and stands behind a No Place for Hate campus. The safety there is wonderful. This school made my son's transition into 6th grade exciting and remarkably easy. The teachers are everywhere willing to help you. The teachers also respond back to your e-mail,even within the same hour. The Fine Arts Dept is awesome, so very organized,so much potential for our children. My son is learning sooo much,plus blossoming in Piano and Band. I highly reccomend this school. He just loves it and all of his teachers!

Johnston is an excellent school The school is very well run. The principal, Mr. Wheat, is very on top of things. The quality of the academics and fine arts are very high. I recommend this school.

I think that johnston is a very excellent school.I think that the discipline and safety there is the best of it all. We asked my daughter what middle school she wanted to go to she just said it so fast .

My youngest daughter is in her 3rd year at Johnston and in the GT program & band. My oldest daughter went through the Vanguard Middle School. With the exception of science (no IPC for 8th graders) the academics are of equal quality. The teachers are great; very responsive and very appreciative of any parent feedback/volunteering. The magnet teachers are outstanding especially considering the resources they're provided to work with (almost none). I highly recommend Johnston.
