The finest in education, my daughter is graduating from Stetson, ICS prepared her well for college. I have two other daughters that wen to public schools and the difference in the schools is amazing.
All three of my children have graduated from Island Christian. All three have gone on to college. When they were in the 4th and 5th grades, I took my boys out of the local public school and put them in Island Christian School. It took 6 months of tutoring to bring them up to the level of Island Christian. After the initial 6 months they were able to maintain at least a B average, thanks to the dedication of the teachers at Island Christian. I feel it is a fantastic place for all children. It provides a well rounded education both academically and physically. There are opportunities in sports for both the boys and the girls.
The Florida Keys do not offer exceptional public education for their children with no driver's education or vo-tech classes for example. ICS has been a refuge for Keys Kids who want to go on to college and are serious about a good education. The type of kids who attend ICS are wholesome, happy and friendly promoting a safer and better learning environment. The teachers at ICS are outstanding and deeply care for students, even keeping contact daily or weekly with parents especially if a student is having problems. For a private school, ICS has made it as affordable as possible, especially with the tremendous high cost of living in the Florida Keys.
The finest in education, teacher concern and relationship with parents. I could not be more pleased with the education both of my children have received.
