Macon Early College

As a student, I'm tired of people putting down my school and the changes that has taken place. A lot of students and parents seem to instantly repel Mr. Gibbs without even giving him a chance because he actually believes in discipline. Mr. Gibbs might be the best thing that has happened to this school because the students are so disrepectful and he takes care of it. This year, I've noticed a lot of disrepect towards teachers lately and it's getting old. I'm there to get my AA degree, and I want to embrace this oppertunity, and if other students want to fool around, go elsewhere to do so. And to the parent that thinks this school is ridculous, why did your kid go there for if it's a waste of time? And as for preteens, that was so middle school.

This is an amazing school with a lot of potential. The students have the ability to further their education by taking college classes at SCC. I am a senior (Class of 2010) at MEC and I will be graduating with my AA. I know firsthand that this school is great.

I think this school is ridiculous. Its almost a waste of my child's time. Yea, it is a great opportunity, but the staff make it way to difficult for the students to learn, they don't understand what its like being a teenager. School is under going way too many changes and i read the little letter from mr. Gibbs that talked about how none of the students there could never make it in regular high school. Well heads up, you shouldn't be talking down on your own students. You just started in that school and already you treat them like children. They're preteens who want to make it somewhere in this world
