Our school has mad AYP and is fully accredited for the past 5 years! We have a great positive incentive program going on to help with discipline! Our staff is the absolute best! We team, get along and work everyday for success for our students!!! It is the greatest school I've worked in throughout my career!

Pungoteague is like a family. The teachers are very supportive of each other and the office staff is very caring and attentive to the students there.

There is so much negativity in this school. On any given day you can visit and hear screaming, hollaring and constant nit picking for the simplest things. I volunteered for much of my child's first year there and witnessed plenty of negativity. Many (not all) of the staff are rude even to parents in front of the children. There definitely seems to be some sort of power trip going on. I am glad the school has high SOL scores, but the atmosphere could really use a facelift, especially since it is dealing with such young children whom are so impressionable. My child hates going to this school, and I totally understand after spending a bit of time in there. It is like a dark negative dungeon. Also, Children should be treated equally, not discriminated against because their parents have to work full time and can't be up there every day.
