Red Oak is excellent. The staff is caring, understanding and adaptable to the uniquity of each student without detracting from the class. Teachers are very committed and creative in the ways they present different subjects. The principal is kind and very accessible/approachable to the students and regularly visits classrooms to interact with students. It's a comfortable and safe environment that just has a good feel to it. Everyone is very friendly and involved. Red Oak rocks!

My son is in first grade and he is in Ms. Thomas's class. We like her very much and tries to accommodate a lof of things for kids. She is very receptive and caring. She is open to ideas and since my son is advanced, she gives him advanced math packets, gives more thought to the next step the child should move to and she has helped my son move forward from wherever he is rather than waiting for the class to catch up to him. She has the AR program started for 1st graders(even though AR starts only from 2nd grade). I would suggest Ms.Thomas to any first grade parent.

This is a great school if you get the right teachers. We had GREAT years and terrible years. There seems to be no recourse for the parents if a teacher decides your child is not to his/her liking. Great teachers I would encourage any parent to go for are Ms. Erickson and Mrs. Kudrle. Ms. Erickson cares about all levels succeeding and Mrs. Kudrle is very encouraging and positive.
