The teachers are amazing - very dedicated to our children. Two-way immersion program seems to be causing a lot of conflict though. GATE program is non-existent which is pretty disturbing. But those wonderful teachers pretty much make up for it all.
I am a parent of a 5th grade English speaker. I am very unhappy with the catering made to the spanish speakers at the school. Our GATE program is almost non-existant, as is a computer lab.
My daughter is a third grader at Mammoth Elementary. She tests high straight across the board, she is given more challenging work in math and reading, to keep her interested. The ski-PE program is amazing! My daughter gets to be on the school ski race team, she leaves school early 2 days a week and gets bused up to Mammoth Mt. to ski! Her only requirement is that her grades stay high, otherwise no skiing. Great incentive to keep up with homework. The ski program is affordable. There is as much parent involvement as parents wish to give. Whenever there is something going on, parents come out of the woodwork. My daughter lover so go to school each day, can't get better than that!
Great School. Amazing staff. PTO works very hard to provide enrichment classes for a very small fee ($3.00 to $5.00) or free for students after school.
