AA requires an IEP in order to enroll your child. It is not followed, in fact, not one teacher read the IEP in the two year period my child attended this school. The teachers leave much to be desired, and the bully problem is in need of a major overhaul, to say the least! I would look into ths school very carefully before you enroll your child.

My son graduated from American Academy four years ago. Yes, it is expensive but you do what you must to help your child be successful. Public school was the wrong place for him and this school was amazing. By the time he graduated, he was taking only a couple of Academy classes and the rest were Heritage. He was accepted into a four year major university and has done so well. He will always have his learning disability but this school helped him find the way HE needed to learn. Not only did they prepare him for college (and a good one at that) he was involved in athletics and fine arts! Set design at that. Something he would have never participated in before coming to this school.
Lacks all expectation one would require from such an expensive school. Very difficult to get precise answers from administration and teacher. They are always covering their tracks when looking for a direct anwer.
