At BSB, bright and purposeful teachers maintain high standards according to the British National Curriculum. BSB inspires my 11-y.o.'s passion for math and science, while offering a strong foundation in the language arts and humanities that has sparked his imagination. The 'house point' system encourages students to win points (for well-done work) for their team. Diverse families all share a commitment to learning. Communications to parents are frequent. Staff always responds to e-mails. Term reports are extensive, and parent-teacher conferences are well run. The 1-hr longer school day affords more time for enrichment activities such as drama and phys ed. Note that varsity athletic options are rather limited. The ranks thin in the upper grades but this should change, as the administration is deeply commited to the success of the IB program (years 12, 13). We are very satisfied with our choice and plan to continue through the IB years.
