My son has attended Greenwood from K-4th thus far, and we couldn't be happier there! We felt like we became part of a 'family' when we entered this school. The kids get a great education, the administration is always open to hear any concerns and the family involvement is tremendous. We know we made the right decision enrolling our child at Greenwood.

My son has attended Greenwood since first grade. We feel enrolling him at Greenwood is one of the best decisions we have made as parents. We are grateful for the wonderful teachers and the strong support from administration.

I grew up in a strong public school system and when I moved to Springfield I wanted my boys to have a similar educational experience. I have two boys enrolled at Greenwood and I am pleased with the education they are receiving and the friends they have made. Teachers and administrators are easily accessible and are interested in seeing your child succeed. Despite the small size of the school and one class per grade, I have liked the makeup of the student body and the positive interaction promoted between classes. Parent involvement is high which adds to the school's sense of community. Although Greenwood could be described as homogeneous, I feel students come from different backgrounds and family values/traditions. Yet, the one thread tying them all together is the value placed on learning and getting a strong education! Another plus for Greenwood - I know all my kids' friends and parents.

Snobby kids and snobby parents. Kids make fun of classmates who don't come from wealthy families and don't have same bells and whistles stuff the other kids have. Parents are cliqueish. Some teachers -- one in particular -- need to retire. Director doens't want to hear criticism from parents; she defends teachers no matter what has happened.
