I did not like this school. I went there for one semester and found myself leaving. They have no sports or many extracurricular activities! The teachers do not care how the students do and never try to help them. I like teachers who become more of a friend and mom than someone you can't trust. I like a high school that treats u like adults and not misbehaving 6th graders. The only reason I gave it a two star was because I love the fact u can take college classes. They were fun and challenging. I would only tell u to send your child there if it was their last year of high school so they can take all college classes and stay away from the teachers there!!!!!!
As a parent it is nice to have a school that allows for students to be challenged educationally, without pushing them over the edge. This school has allowed for my daughter to choose a unique path to her, while still making sure she will graduate on time. She has also earned 45 college credits, which is going to save me tens of thousands of dollars next year at ASU. If you are looking for a small college prep school, then this may be the place. However, this is not an alternative school and they are very strict on attendance and student behavior (why my child was there).

AAEC Red Mountain is an amazing school. I am attending my second year at the school, and I love it. The courses are very challenging for the most part, but if students put effort into their work, it should be no problem. The teachers are very helpful and friendly, and they have become like family to me. They work hard to make their students feel confident. The student community is very small and close. At the beginning of last year I was unsure about how I would fit in, but by the end of the year my many new friends had helped me feel comfortable. Now, I am a part of the Student Ambassadors club at AAEC and love to help new students feel welcome. I believe anyone could feel welcome here in our community, and I would recommend this wonderful school to any dedicated student. -Anna H. (Sophomore)

AAEC Red Mountain is a wonderful, small high school experience. The curriculum is adequately challenging and the teachers are all wonderful. Also, don't let the name fool you - students don't need to be into horses to enjoy this school. The program is fundamentally college prep and horses are an optional program. Check it out for yourself!
