I am a high school student at the Pine School, and I wouldn t trade my experience here for anything. In February 2007, we moved onto the new Hobe Sound campus, whose uniquely designed buildings provide a safe atmosphere with great facilities. The gym is by far the nicest I have used! The classes are truly small and personal, and if you need help or just want some advice, the teachers are always accessible. I don t think there are many other schools where I could say that I was friends with my teachers. The off campus education programs to the Everglades, New York City, and Costa Rica are some of my favorite things. The college guidance system offers one-on-one attention, and I know that, when it s time to move on, I will be attending the right college for me, backed by the special support of my counselor and teachers.

My son just graduated in the school's first graduating class and earned with excellent guidance, acceptance into a wonderful college. The teachers all care about the kids - the program is challenging and supportive - great ways for students to get involved. The Pine School is a gem!

This school is experiencing financial pressures, particulary in today's economic environment which is reflected in the downward enrollment for 2009/10. The school lacks diversity and leadership. The school, unfortunately, is not perceived as one but rather as two separate schools. The the focus is all placed on the New High School. Teachers appear to have more imput in setting rules and procedures rather that stick to teaching. The school has one point in it's favor; it lacks competition. Academically, it does not meet the critera of an independent private school (weak). Lastly, if it has not, as yet, it will price itself out as an independent school. Save your money, and look further afield.

My three children attend The Pine Lower School and I am very pleased. The academics are exceptional. The discipline is great. All children are treated fairly. The parent involvement is wonderful. As a new parent to the school I was most impressed with the ambassador parent program were an exisiting family volunteers to assist you in settling in to the school. I can't say enough about this quality school!
