Freedom has gotten a raw deal for the past four years from those who continue to hold on to the past. Since Dr. Walts brought in the new Administrative team four years ago, Freedom has made AYP each year, made the highest academic gains of all high schools in the county, the 1st to introduce new programs(Novanet) and receive 2.5 million dollars in college scholarships last year. The surrounding community is beautiful and students are eager to learn when they enter the building. Hats off to the 2008-2009 Admin team and faculty members. Job well done!
Freedom High's instrumental program has the potential to become one of the best in the county. Despite the rough transition caused by the change in staff, the band continues to improve and grow. The students are even attempting to create new after-school instrumental groups in order to get others interested in our program!
Great school with SUPER NEW facilities. Caring teachers helped make my son at home during a difficult family transition. Academics are rigorous with lots of opportunities for students.
Freedom has a really great instrumental music program. I've improved a great deal only after a few weeks in school during my freshman year. The band is a great, hard-working group who is continuing to build a great tradition of extra-superior performances.
