King City High School lost its accreditation at the end of the 2006/2007 school year. Though they do have a good teaching staff they lack the neccesarry leadership of a good school district.

Some good teachers(mostly older ones who don't just teach to tests), poor administration with new principals every few years. My children got a good education because I knew which teacher's classes to get them into.

My son is a sophomore at King City High school and has grown up in this humble town. Insofar as King City is a small town, there is much community involvement in the school. Our teachers are also our neighbors and therefore have a personal interest in our children's education. The programs meet high standards, especially in the areas of math and social studies. The teachers in these two departments are expert in their respective curricula. However, the English department does not concentrate on literature or writing the way I would like. Novels that I would like to see taught here are taught in other school districts. The writing assignments are sparse and mediocre, not adequately preparing a student for the rigors of college.
