As a parent, I am very happy that the majority of the teachers are following the nutrition portion of the Wellness Policy. I would like to thank the teachers who are following the Wellness Policy for their effort because their support is having a positive effect on students. I can tell you that this is the first year that my childrens'dentist told me that my 3 boys have zero cavities. Now non nutritional items are only allowed on certain days of the year and in moderation which is great! I also want to thank the teachers who are taking out their students for P.E. I would also like to thank the principal and vice-principal for allowing P.E. to be offered in 1st grade for the first time. Now, it's just a matter of finding the right curriculum for P.E. and making sure all classes are being taken out for P.E. consistently.

As a teacher I'd like to respond to the parent's comment about jeans. Most teachers (like myself) try to wear them only on Fridays. The uniform is NOT followed by most students (or parents), nor is it strictly enforced. It could be a not-so-clear thing at this school! Otherwise, we teachers do work REALLY hard for your kids, so thank you for the appreciation. I love these students!
