Chesterbrook Academy Elementary and Middle School has given my son an excellent pre-high school experience. The students follow a strong curriculum, taught by teachers who make and take the time to motivate each student to be successful. The principal is extremely approachable, warm, and dedicaed to her studens and the school. If you are looking for a community atmosphere with strong academics, this is the school for you!
We're new here so my opinions may be premature. However I'm a little bit stunned at the reliance on worksheets here. As a former teacher, worksheets were considered a cop-out. IMHO children need more hands on activities to stay engaged. This idea of education as a franchise is a novel one to me. I'm seeing that the curriculum may have been generalized and controlled to the point that it can't be adapted easily to an individual situation. We'll see.

This is our first year at Chesterbrook. We have experience with other private school, and the Loudoun County Public School system. it is an outstanding program. The curriculum is challenging & rigorous, and the teachers are excellent. Parents are always welcome. We look forward to a very successful continuation for mant years to come.

I feel like we have lucked out. We have 2 children in the day care (infant and toddler). They have fabulous teachers. Until recently, however, they have had no leadership -one bad director after another. The preschool curriculum is great. There are not many toys for the infants. They are expensive. And, if you want your child to participate in art, music, sports, computers, etc. you will be nickel and dimed to death - they are offerred 'a la carte' not as part of the regular program.
