Oecs, is a amazing school with amazing teachers. I attended this school with no negatives to say. The teacher student ratio is awesome. The teachers at this school are dedicated to there students they go above and beyond the teaching postion to ensure no child is left behind. I see there i s aparent who feel's that the discpline is to strict. In the society today and lack of parenting there is the school has taken place of this. It isnt the school is strict it is the parents arent strict enough. I would put this school on top of all others. Just for teacher caring amongs many other things
My son is currently enrolled in OECS and he loves it! I think that his teacher is wonderful. I like Oppenheim much better than his preschool {in another school district}. There classes are smaller than many schools and the students get more one on one with the teachers. The only downfall is, I have a very sports oriented son and OECS doesnt have much of a selection of sports programs. Yes if they want to play football for Dolgeville they can, but we are kinda rival schools and alot of boys will not try out just because of that. But other than the sports opportunities, We are a big fan of OECS, also because I myself graduated OECS.
I like the school because its nice and small, but the teachers are not very good and the disipine is also very harsh. I think that this school should find more educated teachers.
my child is now in kindergaten. His Prek program in this school was fabulous. I wasnt going to send him but Im so happy I did. His kindergarten is going well too...hes in the top of his class with his reading skills. Hes doing fantastic again!! Thanks to all the staff and ppl who make openheim-ephratah what it is. So far, so good!
