I changed my daughter to Fairway thinking that this would be an improvement. I am very disappointed in the office employees and counselors. I learned that the only way to get thru to the office staff and principles, is by being extra tough! I do not recommend this school and regret my decision 100%. However, Mrs. Haxton is a wonderful first grade teacher that was willing to sell her used books to purchase supplies and assist in field trips for her class room.

Fairway Elementary with Ms Hanna was a great school where students, teachers and parents were all treated as though we shared a common goal. The education of our kids. The new principal seems determined to remove motivation from the students, involvment from the parents and desire from the teachers. She closed the campus without notifing us parents and I had tremendous problems picking up my child. She has removed the extracurricular activities that usually do a great job to keep my daughters grades up so she can participate. The teachers are undermined and are not motivated. They regularly volunteered for extra instruction but this year 2007-2008 there have been many cancellations. This prinipal has taken a B school and will make it be a D school. I am very disappointed with her leadership.

Fairway Elementary; This School exceeded my expectation on every level from the level of all the teachers involvement with the students etc. Although there were a few teachers who stood out above all others That was one of the second grade teacher. Ms Camacho it was truely a pleasure for my son being exposed to her at this level of his education when those first few teachers make such a great inpact on wheather a child wold enjoy school or not. So much thanks to you Ms Camacho, there at Fairway Elementary.

The school as a whole seems to be less personal this year than last year. As a parent it concerns me that I am not allowed to visit my student's teaching environment and no contact with the teacher is permitted without a conference. Last school term I had constant contact with the teacher which allowed me to get a daily progress report on my child. This helped me in working with my child as well as it helped my child because she felt there was a personal repor between her mentors which gave her incentive to work harder. This year I have had very little personal contact with her teacher and it has made a difference. The school is very impersonal and it has affected my child. A concerned parent
