My daughter started this year as a freshman. I honestly feel this school is great. It is not easy but it is not impossible. There are many activities to choose from and I love the involvement of the parents. I feel my daughter is safe here.

Wow, parent comment about Lily Pulitzer-wearing students obviously has a chip on their shoulder and wasn't around the students (in & out of school) much. Most CN kids wouldn't be caught dead in Lily! And, if this parent would get themselves out of the bars and ballfields, they'd see that CN alumni are some of the most successful people in the community and the state for generations. My child has taken AP courses at CN and is currently enrolled in the IB program. If you're looking for a caring, involved community for your child to experience their high school years, this is it. The family atmosphere is something that just can't be found anywhere else. CN has all that Suncoast and magnet schools have w/ the addition of a loving caring staff and community. Raising a teen isnt all about academics. It's about raising a whole person&that means in&out of school

This school can be good, depending on who you are. if you are looking for a spanking new school with beautiful facilites and never-ending extracurriculars, than this may not be the school for you. academics are very good and the school has some very dedicated teachers, it is just the extracurriculars that leave much to be desired.
