I have been at Merriman for about 6 years. I read the review that was posted yesterday. I don't agree with that parent because my kids have good stories to tell me when they get home. And Merriman has the best math classes. A man from Atlanta came to teach all of the kids math. The little kids were doing addition and subtraction and the big kids were doing algebra and the hard kind of math that they do in middle school. My kids love math more than they did before. The kids get to do a lot of fun things at school. They have a banking day and a bookstore day. And the kids are in charge of both of them. My kids don't talk about cursing or fights because they don't have that stuff at Merriman.

My kids have been at Merriman since second grade. They have never had a problem or got into any fights. The school is very strict, but the principal makes sure the kids are involved in positive activities. They do constructive work in their classrooms. I am at the school a lot and I see a lot of great things happening at Merriman.

We are a new family at Merriman and I am really disappointed in it. My kids come home every day with bad stories. The work they are getting is far behind what we were doing at our old school. Stuff they learned a couple years ago they are just doing in their grades now at this school. Complaints that most of the other kids don't do their work and are just playing around all day. Swearing and fighting all over the school is going on every day.
