This new school year PB needs NCLB taken seriously. MY 3 children left for their lack of accountability on all levels from administration to teachers and for this our children's grades and school rank dropped let's not forget the students self-esteem. Their new school is ranked high for improvement and my children's grades have rose significantly!

The school is trying, but failing to leave no child behind. Too many good students leave the district because nothing is offered for them. Too many low performing kids coming in. Too many discipline problems coming in and they don't seem to have any method of dealing with it that actually brings about a change in the students behavior. The classrooms are full and then some with mainstreaming kids being added in. My advanced/proficient student sometimes just sits with nothing to do because the teacher is too busy with the under performing kids. The district needs to be more selective who they let permit in or even more better performing kids are going to leave. Some teachers are great, others are so-so, but the better the teacher, the more problems they are given to handle which turns out no better for the kids that get the better teachers.

The curriculum is generally good. Teacher quality is inconsistent (most teachers I encountered seemed jaded and marginal my son s teacher, for example, just happens to be a negotiator for the teacher s union, known as one of the most rampantly socialist organizations in the country!), with some few that are outstanding and dedicated, so it s a roll of the dice. The administration is generally perfunctory with few exceptions, think of DMV personnel and you ll understand what I mean.

This is a great school. Your child will learn alot from the deicated staff and have fun at the same time.
