Awesome school. A public school that is more like a private school. You definately can't find this out in long Island. Very strong PTO. teachers are amazing. My sons vocabulary has improved within 2 months of attending. Great afternoon enrichment programs.
I've had 3 children go through PQ. All were very happy and excelled throughout their years here. The teachers are warm and giving and the environment is welcoming. We had a great experience at PQ.
This school has a challenging curriculum and much is expected from the students. Professional, dedicated teachers service the needs of all the students, from those with learning disabilities to the gifted child. Each child is seen as a unique individual. If you are looking for 'worksheet homework' you won't find it here. Students are taught to question, analyze, investigate, and draw conclusions - to be invested in their own learning.

We have been pretty happy for the most part, although my Second Grader had a tough year this year. The teacher was out for a few months, there was no parent involvement and there was no homework given for a month. My first grader had an excellent year though, so I guess you can't condemn the school for one teachers mistakes...Great parent involvement in the school, and the children are definitely challenged academically. Because of the small amount of kids in the classes, the sports programs seem to be slightly limited.
