A good school. Its reputation takes it farther than it should go. Faculty runs the gamut from overwhelming excellence to complete incompetence. The sports program is superior..as long as you have a child that is good enough to make the 'cut.' The music program can be more democratic with participation by many levels. Beware the college counseling, and seek outside advise just as you would a second opinion before any major decision. My son leaves for college prepared and ready, but would he have achieved the same results with another school. I think so. This is not a school suited for the 25% to 35% child, whether in academic or athletic endeavors. He will get lost and never be given guidance and/or encouragement. Forget the assertions of brotherhood, it is a pecking order system.
Way over-rated! We cant keep teachers or get decent ones! They only good thing about the school is college connections. Good extra circular activities but the parents need to get their own life besides trying to live their child's. Although we have an honor code, haha it's a joke. Brotherhood. BS. Whatever, i hated my four years there, but it will get me into a good college.
