I applaud those that are honest and abhor those that are not. I feel that many parents and students use this message board as an opportunity to criticize when they should consider point the finger in another direction. I have a son at the school and he loves it. He has made friends quickly and he feels that the teachers are the best. Understand, he was not motivated to learn but has found a 'new lease on life.' Additionally, he is active in athletics (football and wrestling). Both programs have gone through their ups and downs. He is most pleased with wrestling now that things have seemed to level out. He loves the coach as he continually stresses the importance of making the right reflection and impression. This school deserves the highest marks.
This school abounds in stupidty. The assistant principal is more concerned about his being accepted as the principal for the new High School He along with most of the teachers are arrogant. As a concerned parent, I was informed that one my child's teachers didn't feel that she had to inform me of how my son was doing since as a sophomore, he was nearing adulthood. Negating responsibility is a common practice among the educators here. This school concerns itself with lying to parents and students and focuses mainly on football and baseball as the goal children should strive to be part of .

I graduated from four years at WCHS, and my experience was fantastic. But not because of the school. The entire time I attended, I had no voice; I suffered for even trying to raise issues. The Arts program is absolutely amazing; I would not be who I am without it. And the IB programme, although off to a harsh start (as my year learned) is a good program, and while the director worked hard to get the program instilled, she never represented the truth and realities of the program to the students at any point. The athletics, which are good, are far too celebrated, by both staff and student council, which is the only school organization on campus recognized by the administration as serious. Rather than recognize a theatre club that has won state competitions or DECA students who competed nationally, a team that competed at regionals is celebrated.
