Has a great academic reputation along with a decent athletic one. The class sizes are small enough that teachers can work one on one with students that may be struggling. It is an extremely small school so everyone who wants to play sports can and they are competitive in their conference every year. Overall they have the same problems every and other small town school has, other parents tend to be a little controlling. As a new family in the area I am pleased.
The overall perception of the school atmosphere is negative. There is very little, if any encouragement for parent and/or community involvement which attributes significantly to the negativity. It seems good teachers are hard to keep, choices for extra curricular activities are very limited and athletic programs have very little support.
The teachers are very dedicated but the administration does not enforce discipline consistantly and also does not enforce the academic code in regards to athletes.
