Oak Avenue Intermediate School

Oak Avenue is a wonderful intermediate school. There is an amazing music program. There is also a wide variety of electives for students to choose from. My only small complaint is the gym floor should be changed into wood.

I like all the teachers and staff, However, out gym needs work, I mean carpet? We need wood floors and air conditioning to prevent rugburns and overheating at the dances.

I am a student here currently. It has been several weeks since the first day of school. The teachers there, overall, really seem to enjoy what they're doing. I learn a lot and everyone is just so nice. There are many extra-curricular activities such as sport teams, and many other things like that. We have an excellent music program which I'm in. It really is an extraordinary school.

The teachers my son had this last school year were academically challenging, they held the students accountable for their work and actions, and truly enjoyed their jobs, hence making learning a good thing for the incoming 7th graders. The principal held unruly students accountable for their misbehaving, and the support staff were always available to help those of us who hadn't quite yet navigated the world of middle school. So far, the first year wasn't as bad as I was led to believe it would be.
